Mission Statement

Committed to cultivating a trusting environment where each student is inspired for life today and tomorrow.

Belief Statements

  1. Every student has the ability to grow academically, socially, and emotionally at our school.
  2. Students should be provided with the tools to help them learn and grow at their pace.
  3. Educating a child is a partnership between home, school, and community members.
  4. Relationships are the foundation of education. We must understand and value all aspects of our students’ lives to help them succeed.
  5. Career Readiness Education creates positive momentum for students.

Vision Statement

All students will pursue opportunities to recognize and fulfill their potential.

Goals

  1. By May of 2019, all 5-8 grade students will be surveyed and participate in a prevention program of self-harm and suicide education.
  2. By 2020, 80% of our K-12 students will complete daily work on time.
  3. Each student will participate in at least one co-curricular activity, club, or school/community-based opportunity annually.
  4. By 2020, all students in grades 6-12 will actively participate in utilizing a student-led Career Center at Tri-County Middle/High School.

Strategies

  1. We will support and encourage our students to participate in bullying/harassment prevention, at all ages, including Penguins 4 Prevention.
  2. We will create an easier method for parents to monitor assigned work and work completion (i.e., An app)
  3. We will develop and implement on “Day of Caring” annually for all 4K-12 students and staff to participate in community service.
  4. We will create an environment that includes all necessary components, which promote each students’ chosen pathway.

 

Title IX Non-Discrimination

The District’s obligation not to discriminate based upon sex in its education programs or activities extends to admission, participation, and employment. Board Policy 240.000 prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities. Questions about the application of Title IX and 34 CFR Part 106 to the District may be referred to the District’s Title IX Coordinator, the U.S. Department of Education’s Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, or both.
