Welcome to the Tri-County Area School District special education website. The Tri-County Area School District provides a continuum of special education and related services to eligible students.
Children are provided special education services if they are evaluated and found eligible as a child with a disability. Comprehensive special education eligibility evaluations are offered at no cost to any referred student.
Special education services can be provided to children as young as three years old and are given until students no longer require services or until they graduate based on individual needs. Students eligible for special education are provided a customized educational plan with goals and services called an IEP (Individualized Education Plan).
If you are concerned that your child has a disability and may need specialized instruction in any area (reading, writing, math, social skills, motor skills, speech, language, etc.) please contact the school to complete a referral.
Please find special education resources and documents below that support families and students.
