One Way Traffic on the 400 block of West St. from 7:35AM to 8:00AM on School Days Starting December 1, 2025
TC School District and the Village of Plainfield Police Department have been working together to increase student safety and security around the school day drop off and pick up times. One way to improve student safety a great deal is to limit the crossing of students in front of and through the drop off traffic in the morning.
In order to protect all of our students the School and Village, with support from the County, have agreed to close S. West St. to any and all north bound traffic between Willey and Elizabeth St. from 7:35 AM until 8:05 AM on school days starting Monday, Dec. 1, 2025. Parents who need to enter school in the morning will need to park in either of the school parking lots and walk on designated paths to the office. See photo for details.
All drop off must be done by heading south on S. West St. and entering the designated drop off area, then pulling as far through as possible in order to fill the drop off zone. Cones and signage will be used to demarcate the new safety changes.
