Artist of the Week - Addison Dake is a freshman in 3D Art. Addison did a great job creating Derpy from one of her favorite movies, KPop Demon Hunters, out of glass. Addison came up with her design, cut her glass pieces, glued them and then grouted her project. Derpy measures 11" x 14". Addison loves to create and participates in our Art Club after school. Addison's work will be saved for our upcoming school art show in May.

A pop of color on a rainy day! 🌈🥕🍎 Our Tri-County salad bars are filled with a fresh variety of fruits and vegetables, giving students the chance to enjoy both their favorites and try something new. Through our Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program, 4K–5th grade students are encouraged to explore new flavors and expand their choices. Such as dragon fruit, garbanzo beans, blood oranges, beets, oranges, apples, carrots, peppers, melons, and cucumbers—there’s something for everyone! Our Food Service team is committed to providing the freshest fruits and vegetables possible, utilizing fresh, local produce whenever it’s available. We’re always looking to partner with more local growers to bring farm-to-school freshness straight to our students. Give something new a try—you might discover a new favorite! 🥗✨

On Friday, April 24, 2026, our middle school track team took a run over to the Plainfield Public Library in celebration of National Library Week. The students had an amazing time enjoying snacks, exploring computers, trying out the Nex Playground, making bracelets, and playing board and card games. Many also checked out DVDs, video games, and books.

A special thank you to librarian Merra for creating such a fun and welcoming experience for our kids. They enjoyed it so much that they’re already asking if we can make this a weekly Friday tradition!

ExCEL play group spent lots of time playing and counting today! We read "123 Count With Me," sang and danced to number songs, and decorated numbers that matched the kids' ages. The children even had a special visit from a couple of baby chicks that recently hatched in the 4K classroom 🐥. Please join us for our final play group of the school year on May 22nd at 9 am.

🌎💚 Happy Earth Day from Tri-County! 💚🌎 This Earth Day, we’re proud to highlight the positive impact our students are making right here at Tri-County! Simple actions that make a big difference in caring for our planet — like the use of the Sharing Tables in our cafeterias! Thanks to everyone for participating, we’ve seen a great increase in students placing unopened and whole food items on the Sharing Tables instead of throwing them away. That means less food going into the trash and more opportunities for others to enjoy it. By using the Sharing Tables, we are: ♻️ Keeping food out of the landfill 🌱 Reducing food waste 🐧 Supporting a more sustainable school community Let’s keep up the great work and continue making choices that help protect our planet — not just on Earth Day, but every day! Please continue to encourage your students to use the Sharing Tables for unwanted, unopened food items and whole fruits and vegetables. Students also enjoyed a dirt cup treat today with their lunch to celebrate Earth Day!
